Hello Blog!

Well it has been quite some time since I have updated this thing... where the heck to begin?? Life is so beautiful in my neck of the wood's, I almost wonder if everyone is so lucky in love with their family. Of course I Would hope so but I truly feel lucky and so blessed!
My life right now is in a bit of a transitioning period, I just started a full time job two weeks ago at sorenson caption call. I am a communication assistant which means I translate calls into written form for the hard of hearing. So far I am picking up pretty quick, graduated the training a week early and am quite content so far. The scheduling is nice because I still get to spend my days with Leah and then when Nick gets home at 4, we spend a few quality minutes together and then I head off to work. I am SO SO lucky I married that man!! I hear the way some wife's talk about their husbands with their kids and how they wont even change a poopy diaper... I would never be happy with a guy like that. Pretty sure that is actually a huge reason why I fell so hard and so fast for Nick. He is the worlds greatest dad!! Leah is so so lucky to have a father that works his behind off all day long to come home and not only watch her for the evening ~ but play with her and take her on walks and make her so happy. I am also lucky that he is so good to me and if I don't have time to do some cleaning, like the dishes, he will get it done without any recognition needed. He even takes the time, exhausted or not to make sure to come into the bedroom and give me a kiss goodbye every morning... might not be a big deal but it sure starts my day off right. Over 6 yrs together and I find myself falling in love with him in a whole new way. Being a good father and husband is no easy task and he does it so well.
Now to what everyone probably wants to hear about my Leah Lahren (-: I really cannot believe she already 15 months old on the 8th of Sept!!!! HOLY CRAP it has gone by so fast. I totally agree when everyone says that this is such a fun age. Obviously every stage of your child's life is fun and new but she is such a bundle of personality. She tends to do everything like mommy, she has pretended to put on makeup, shave her legs and even says i love you and please. Yes she is def a girly girl so far, I love it! She can also say, mama, Dada, Zoe, grandma, Nana and a few other fun words. She loves to give hugs and kisses and it melts our hearts when she gives hugs and you can feel her tiny little hands patting your back. makes me smile just thinking about it!
Well that's a quick update of the Thomas home, now that I have Internet access at work I may update this thing more than once a yr! we will see... Miss all of my family dearly and hope to make a trip back home in 6 months or so when I get some vacation time at work.
XOXO

Bored at work with so much on my mind...

My life right now is full of so many great changes emotionally, physically and mentally it's crazy. I have been sitting at work for the past few hrs bored out of my mind thinking about the million things I could be getting done at home. Only one more week to go I will officially be DONE with 2Brothers Communications, after 3 1/2 years of dealing with management, sales and customer service I am SO READY! I have given this company my blood sweat and tears for so long and now that I have Leah at home my heart is just not in it. I have been grateful to have a job to get me out of the house for a couple hrs a day, and knowing she is home with daddy makes it much easier but I need a serious change. I am now lucky enough to be able to open up my own spray tan business Beautifully Bronzed spray tan! I am insanely excited to get going with everything just waiting on my spray gun to get here and I will be on my way! The main benefits of this are I get to do my own scheduling and get more quality time with not only Leah but also Nick (ok and poor Zoe, she is so left out.) If anyone gets the chance go "like" my page on Facebook, just search Beautifully Bronzed spray tan.
More good news, Nicks hard work has finally paid off with his company. He is now a group leader which comes with a raise, and possibly a work truck (fingers crossed). He works so hard every day to provide for our family so that working is an option for me and it means the world! I have an amazing husband who works his butt off all day gets home takes the baby while I work and is still so considerate of me and my needs. Watching him fall in love with Leah is one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had, he is such an amazing dad, Leah and him will be so close.

I started A 24 day challenge yesterday where I do 24 days of cleansing my body and eating all natural/healthy type foods: Chicken, nuts, rice, veggies and fruit ect while taking a crap load of natural vitamins. I can't have sugar, salt, bread and well really anything else haha, and I am going to be honest this is already one of the hardest 2 days of my life! not being able to have desert at the end of the day is killing me but I know it will be worth it! I am not only doing it to get rid of the extra baby weight but also to feel better all over have more energy and not depend on such crappy food every day.
Last little blurb here, I just want to say how much I appreciate my family and friends. The older I get the deeper my love grows for the most important people in my life. I am so blessed to have so many people that I love dearly.
              XOXO

I'm finally starting to see some of me in Leah and not just Nick.

A day in the life of Leah Lahren

This post will probably bore most people due to the fact that it's a TON of very average pictures of Leah's very normal daily activities. However I am obsessed with her so every little moment is so special to me. Also if you don't love my Leah you are probably not looking at my page and therefore this explanation is pointless, haha. ANYWAY let's begin (-:

A little early morning breakfast, far too early for pictures. There's a whole lotta eating going on all day, ill keep it to one feeding pic.

She's pretty proud of her morning dudy haha, another activity that happens far too often to post a pic of every occurrence.
Trying to suck her thumb through the "hand sock" Socks stay on so much better than the mittens.
Bath time! Leah is finally starting to enjoy them now.

All dry.

Some tummy time, hopefully she will get those neck muscles strong enough to hold her own neck up soon...getting close
Giving mommy some hands free time to get ready for work.
Daddy's home!!!
Mom's off to work
Another outfit change, with drool, spit up and what not, there are A LOT of these every day.
Daddy filing Leah's nails after mommy clipped them.

Nap time

Zoe getting in on the tummy time.

Good night world!

Leah Lahrens blessing day

On 08/14/2011 our baby girl was blessed at our church. We are SO greatful for all the family and friends that supported us and made the day perfect. Leah was such a peach for the whole thing, she didnt make a peep and was wide awake (this is a rare thing). My dad Jason Davis was the one who gave the blessing and I was so touched by it, I felt the most amazing spirit that I haven't felt in a long time. Having my husband be a part of the blessing was such a special moment for me and also having my parents in from Oregon and Nicks mother and father there showed us just how much love Leah will have in her life. Nicks Brother and family and a few good friends were also part of this great day. Thanks to everyone who made it, we love you! Ps my moms camera sadly doesn't take the most high quality pic's but I forgot to take ANY so I'm so happy she took them.

Saying her prayers

Side view of the dress, love her lil blessing bracelet too! Thanks grandma Davis.

Family Pic

Nick picked out Leah's dress, pretty impressive right?
